We've had our share of thunderstorms in the past six weeks. Most of them have come with hail, flooding, strong lightning, thunder and wind. My three year old is very nervous and comes running at the slightest rumble now, expecting it to be intense. One night a few weeks ago, we had one of those storms where the sun was still shining. It happened around sunset and the result was an amazing orange glow that bounced off of the clouds. Looking out our front window, all I could see was hazey orange. It was beautiful. I grabbed my camera and took these from our front porch.

This silhouette is of my oldest son. The orange light to the righ of his chin was the sunset bouncing off the top of our car. I was having a hard time putting my camera down but bedtime rolled around and the kids were begging for me to come in. :)
